Happy Fourth of July!
What is the Insecure Writer's Support Group?
Founded by author Alex J. Cavanaugh, the Insecure Writer’s Support Group offers support for writers and authors alike. It provides an online database, articles and tips, a monthly blog posting, a Facebook and Instagram group, Twitter, and a monthly newsletter. To find out more, click this link: Insecure Writer’s Support Group
The purpose of the group is
* to share and encourage.
* Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak.
* Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance.
*It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

The Lenni-Lenape laws helped to influence the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Though Native American tribes rarely get credit for the positive rolls they played in shaping early American laws, it did happen. And the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, which is on the land where my Lenni-Lenape people had lived for thousands of years. Fun facts! 😊
For the IWSG July prompt asking which book world I would live in, I narrowed it down to three choices.
One is a short-story I published. One is from a popular series. And one is better known from television, but there are books. It's all on my blog.
Today's Google Doodle g.co/doodle/5m9rrry This is a tribute to Charlie Hill of the Oneida Nation, the first Native American stand-up comedian to be on a nationally broadcast television show.
Over at Operation Awesome, our Pass or Pages query contest is open this week with July's family saga genre. Know any writers who might want to enter?

Hi, Enjoy your break! Shalom aleichem,
Pat G @ EverythingMustChange
I love the patriotic post. Well done!
I missed posting in May and June and got cut from the list. I'm back this month. Enjoy your break. Sometimes, we need to skip a month, or two, because - life!
Hope you had a great 4th July, JQ. Enjoy your break!
Have a good time! :D
Thanks for the reminder! I took a trip to Boston and was reminded of what a different world our founders lived in and the penalties they would have suffered if they'd failed.
Thank you for sharing those fun facts about the Native American tribes.
Thank you. I love learning about American history.
Glad you're back. Yes, we do need some time away from the keyboard.
Thank you. We had a wonderful holiday weekend with our family.
It was a good time! Lots of food! LOL
So true. I don't think people realize how much our founders gave up to make this nation independent. Thank you for your comment.
Enjoy your break. Happy Summer!
