Thanks for hopping over. Here's my bucket list. Do you share any of the same plans or wishes on your list?
***The Bucket List of J.Q. Rose***
1. Visit the White House-I have been to D.C several times, but we never made it for the tour.
2. Travel to Nova Scotia to experience the land and the people.
3. Make a delicious pie crust. Married over 40 years and cannot make a decent pie crust, but thank goodness for Mrs. Pillsbury!
4. Direct the Philharmonic Orchestra
5. Be a guest on Oprah featuring my latest novel. But wait a minute, I don't think there is an Oprah Show anymore. sigh, missed that one!
6. Spend at least one night on Mackinac Island, Michigan, in a suite in the Grand Hotel.

Ghosts and goblins are coming.
Read Sunshine Boulevard for a fun,
scary story just in time for Halloween.
Mysterious deaths upset the Florida retirement community interfering with their seasonal activities and turning up more than dead bodies |
Who or what
is killing the seniors on Sunshine Boulevard? Follow Jim and Gloria
Hart, snowbirds who annually migrate to Florida for warm sunshine, fun, and
games in snow-free winters. However this season, Jim Hart, a volunteer First
Responder in his retirement community of Citrus Ridge, is drawn into the
investigation of the mysterious deaths.
Even in the midst of
the unfortunate demise of the residents on Sunshine Boulevard, the Harts
try to enjoy the winter with friends. They don't realize that their
friends are getting together for their own kinds of affairs with each
other.
The neighbors are in a dither over the deaths, but perhaps more
intrigued by the gossip about the affairs and why the naked lady
was found lying in the geranium bed.

Hi, came over to read your Bucket List. Love #6. I'd like to do that!
Hi, J.Q. Great bucket list. I'd like to spend a long weekend on Mackinac Island. Have a wonderful day!
Love your list, especially #4. That'd be amazing!
Yup. 4 would be pretty epic. So how are you going to pull it off? A great makeover so you appear to be the expected conductor, or become world famous? =)
I laughed at your #5. I had always wanted to go on Oprah's show to talk about one of my books, so when she ended her show I thought, "But wait...I haven't been on your show yet!" HAHAHA!
Oprah is out. Ellen is in. Fun bucket list.
Thanks for participating in the Bucket List blog hop! That is cool that you want to direct an orchestra. Do you have any musical experience?
I've heard Christmas is a great time to visit the White House. Maybe you and I can do that together, since it's on my list as well.
Great bucket list. I've been to Nova Scotia many times - it's beautiful and I hope to get to go. You, me, and Susanne have to meet on Mackinac Island - that one's on my list, too!
Hi Gang, Sorry I'm so late popping in here. We have been gone all day. Didn't realize it would be 5 pm before I'd get home. So happy you stopped in. I'l pop around to sites tonite and tomorrow.
Hi Catherine, Mackinac Island is one of my most favorite places to visit in the whole world. I'll meet ya' there?
Susanne, Catherine, YOU, and I will have to have a meet up at Mackinac Island!!
Jackie and Crystal--thanks so much for stopping in. I think I"ll have to be happy just directing them while listening to the music on Pandora!
Hi Chris, Yeah, how could Oprah do that to us? If she only knew how much we could've added to her show.
Katy Did Gig, Hmmmm... I never thought of Ellen/s show. I see Meredith Viera has her own talk show now too. Another possibility? But definitely not the clout Oprah has!
Sherry, yes, I have musical experience in both chorus and bands. Except when I practiced my cornet, my older brothers would definitely go out and stand on the porch so the neighbors would know they were NOT the ones blowing that horn! LOL
Christmas at the White House would truly be a magical time. Okay--let's go!
Susan, now you really have me geeked up about going to Nova Scotia. Sounds like we could have a gang to go with us to Mackinac Island. Do you live in Michigan? We do, in West Michigan.
Sorry, no more Oprah. But the others are a go. We've been to DC too, but never took the White House tour.
I've heard the White House tour is severely lacking compared to how it used to be. I've never been either.
Good list!
I wish you the best of luck!
Heather
Wonderful bucket list. I am a bit late in getting mine up, but it is completely different than your.
Hi JQ. Many thanks for stopping by Pen and Paper, I really appreciate you doing so.
What a fun meme this has been, to meet loads of fellow bloggers really has been the icing on the cake so to speak.
L. Diane--As I recall you have to make arrangements with your congressman to take a White House tour or some hoops needed to jump through to get in. Thanks for stopping.
Hi Heather, I think after 9/11, security has changed the WH tour. In Abe Lincoln's day, citizens just roamed all over the White House and walked into his office to talk to him. Wouldn't that be a change? Of course, Lincoln was assassinated and that made a change in procedures. Thanks for the good luck wishes. Right back at ya',
Rhonda, I'll find ya' and check out your list. So many fun ones to read.
Tracy--I agree. These bucket lists allow us to get to know each other in a fun and entertaining way.
Hi J.Q.
Hope you're well!
Direct the Philharmonic Orchestra? You keep me a front row seat when that happens, you hear?
Oprah will have to come out of retirement...host a special event, to showcase all the authors who 'missed the boat'!
Which is the most challenging item on your list? Just wondering.
Sorry I don't think we share the same priorities. But if you come to Canada drop by BC as well. Love to show you the highlight so my little town. :-)
